One of the ways we help the youth connect with themselves is through cultural identity and education. In today’s world these young boys and girls are growing up without any knowledge of the history of their great ancestors and heroes who accomplished so many wonderful things. This lack of cultural identity means that a lot of customs and traditions that have been handed down for many generations are now being lost due to cultural assimilation. We want our youth to understand and learn that they come from beautiful cultures and they can in fact celebrate and be proud of who they are and where they come from.

Unfortunately their history is not being taught in our school systems today, and if they are it’s just a one sided view. We’re here to give them the tools and resources they need in order to educate themselves about their cultures. In order to do this though we need your help.  We’re on a mission to purchase books about the history of all different cultures and have them at the disposal and use for the community. Armed with these books, we can build workshops, study groups/sessions, and book clubs around them and be able to help our youth finally identify with their cultures. Your donation today will help us on our mission, and give these young people the knowledge they crave and have been starving for.
